K E Board’s First Grade Arts and Commerce College came into existence in the year 2003. The visionaries like Late. Shri. G T Padaki the then President and Late. Shri. N K Kulkarni who was the chairman of K E Boards were mainly responsible in establishing this Degree College. The college started with a small strength of 56(Fifty Six) but today the college has a strength of 800 students.

       The college gets its strength mainly from rural side and by two slums surrounded. The college has Arts and Commerce courses. For Arts and Commerce English, Kannada and Hindi are taught as basic languages. In Arts faculty we have Economics, Political Science, Geography, History, English and Kannada which are taught as Optional Subjects. For Commerce all the subject prescribed from University are studied as they are compulsory.

       The college has a total area of 5.16acers which was given to K E Board by the British Government in the year 1934. Here we have a 200mts Track. K E Board right from its inception has given importance to Physical Education. We have constructed Gymnasium of 1500sqft and is open for the students of this college free of cost. Good numbers of students have been selected of the college at university level in Football, Kabbaddi, Volley ball and Yoga at the Inter University Sports. About 20 to 25 students of this college Join Indian Army and 25 to 30 students Join State Police Department.

       The college has well equipped Library with total number books about 11,000. The Library has a seating capacity of 200 students, to sit and study. The entire Library is digitalized under E-Library. We have Inflibnet of UGC also. The students are making use of E-Library.

       We have computer Laboratory with 30 computers, all connected with Wi-Fi facility. In the same computer laboratory we have installed the software of English Language Laboratory, which is really useful to Rural Students.

       We have a separate Geography Laboratory where all the materials required for the teaching of subject is readily available.

       The management has provided the needed infrastructure as and when required. With fine Co-operation, Guidance and Support of the Management the College is growing to greater heights.
