K E Board’s First Grade Arts and Commerce
College, Library was set up along with the establishment of the college in June 2003. Our college Library is 19 years old and many Scholars and Retd. Professors of the town have donated their personal collection of books to the library which has enriched our collections. The collection of books attracts attention of many staff and students of local Institutions
New Library Building
After the introduction of the above courses the strength has gone up tremendously and numbers of volumes have also increased. Hence the management felt the need of the students and staff members and constructed a separate library building during the year 2016. Total carpet area is 3000 sq feet. This new building is well planned and can accommodate 12000 volumes and 200 readers at a time with open shelf library with about 4500 books, reading halls, stack rooms etc.
Library Objectives
- To inculcate Reading Habits among the students and Teaching Community.
- Provide accessibility to information in a well-organized and coherent manner.
- Provide facilities and services for teaching community and students to discover needed information and use them according to their needs.
- Develop an efficient and effective college library which is adaptable to the changing academic environment.
- To provide effective and efficient digital information services.
- To introduce the users to the resources available, service provided and the facilities extended in the library.
- To serve as a Knowledge Hub of the College.

Library Advisory Committee is constituted to address the issues involved for the development of the library. LAC mainly plays an important role in collection development. We at our college meet and make decisions through LAC for purchasing library materials precisely books and journals for the library. LAC also meets in segregating funds for deferent subject domains based on the available grants.
